Protest of the Trump Administration’s efforts to undermine the Republic.
This protest is being organized by Heathens Against Hate, which represents inclusive Heathenry and freedom of religion (including the choice to live free from religion). We stand in solidarity with all oppressed people (in the US and globally) and are showing up to say we will not stand idly by while our neighbors, our communities, and our ways of life are under attack.
We unequivocally condemn the ongoing coup and the administration's actions, which are too many to list in full but include:
- Seizing control of funds illegally, without congressional approval
- Attempting to override state legislature and threaten state officials who refuse to comply
- Stripping our most marginalized communities of their rights
- Attacking people in their homes, schools, and places of worship
- Seizing funds intended to help veterans, American farmers, the disabled, and senior citizens
- Siding with dictators around the world
- Making enemies of our longstanding allies, including threats to annex Canada and Greenland
- Taking advantage ongoing attacks to vulnerable areas to seize their land and resources
And doing all of this while lining their own pockets and refusing to listen to their constituents.
It’s time to remind them that in America, we bow to no kings.
